I hasten and do not delay to keep your commandments.
There's a kind of obedience that drags its feet — the kind that says yes eventually, after enough arguing with yourself. This verse describes something different: hurrying toward what's right instead of stalling in front of it.
That might sound like pressure, but look closer. It's not about fear of punishment. It reads more like relief — like someone who's found something worth moving quickly for, the way you'd rush toward good news instead of dreading a chore. Delay usually means you're not sure yet. Haste like this means you've stopped second-guessing.
You don't have to already trust God's commands to notice the difference between dragging your feet through life and running toward something you believe is good. That gap between reluctance and readiness is worth sitting with.
If you're curious what it would feel like to stop dragging your feet toward God instead of away from Him, that's a question worth exploring.
A short video on this is coming soon — for now, read on.
