DAILY VERSE · Day 330

New Every Morning

Sufficient Grace

The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
LAMENTATIONS 3:22-23 · ESV

New every morning is a strange claim to make about anything. Most things run down — love included, most of the time. It's easy to love someone consistently for a while and then feel it thin out, get complicated, get tired. This verse claims something different: not a love that started strong and is holding on, but one that's actually renewed, fresh, every single day.

If your picture of God has been shaped by people whose love did run out — who got tired of you, who kept score, who eventually left — this might be worth pausing on. The claim here isn't that God's patience is unusually long. It's that it doesn't work like human patience at all. It restocks. It doesn't deplete.

You don't have to trust that fully today. You can just notice that it's a genuinely different kind of claim than the ones you've tested before and found wanting — and ask whether it deserves a fresh look on its own terms.

If every love you've known eventually ran dry, it might be worth finding out whether this one actually claims to be different.

A short video on this is coming soon — for now, read on.
