Tomorrow Can Wait

Trust Over Worry

Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
MATTHEW 6:34 · ESV

Worry has a way of doing math on days that haven't happened yet. You run the numbers on tomorrow, next week, next year — and the weight of all of it lands on today's shoulders, which were never built to carry it.

Jesus says something almost blunt here: don't do that math. Tomorrow will bring its own trouble, and it can carry its own weight when it arrives. Today only has room for today's portion. That's not a denial that hard things are coming — it's permission to stop pre-living them.

Maybe you're not sure yet what you believe about a God who could actually steady a day like that. But it's worth asking the question honestly: what would it be like to set tomorrow down, just for today, and see if there's Someone there to catch it?

If the weight of 'what's coming' ever feels heavier than what's actually in front of you, that's a question worth sitting with honestly.

A short video on this is coming soon — for now, read on.
