The LORD is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made.
On the last day of the year, most of us are doing math — what worked, what didn't, what we lost, what never came. This verse doesn't ask you to finish that math first. "The LORD is good to all" — not to the people who had a good year, to all.
That's worth sitting with if this year was hard for you. God's goodness was never a reward for how well you performed these last twelve months. It's simply who He is, on your best day and your worst one, whether you noticed Him working or not.
And here's the part that carries into tomorrow: the same God who was good in the year that's ending doesn't need to get ready for the year that's starting. He's already there. Whatever this next year holds, you're not walking into it to find out if God is trustworthy — you get to walk into it already knowing.
If you're wondering how to actually start a relationship with a God this steady, there's a simple, honest way to begin.
A short video on this is coming soon — for now, read on.
