Discovering Jesus Together
DAILY VERSE · Day 71

Grace Enough

Strength in Weakness

My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.
2 CORINTHIANS 12:9 · ESV

This line was written by someone who had just asked God, three times, to take away a pain he never named. He didn't get the removal he wanted. He got this instead — a claim that grace is enough, and that power actually shows up more clearly in weakness than it does when everything's under control.

That's a hard sell in a culture obsessed with strength, competence, having it together. But maybe you already know, from your own life, that the moments you were most honestly yourself were the ones you couldn't fake your way through — the ones where you had nothing left to perform.

You don't have to be strong to be worth something here. If this verse is telling the truth, your weak spot isn't the disqualifying thing you assume it is. It might be exactly where something bigger than you has room to work.

If the idea that your weakness could be useful instead of shameful sounds worth testing, it might be worth a second look.

A short video on this is coming soon — for now, read on.
