A Way Out

Strength in the Wilderness

God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
1 CORINTHIANS 10:13 · ESV

This verse doesn't promise an easy life. Read it carefully and it actually assumes temptation and testing are just part of the deal — it doesn't say if you're tested, it says when. What it promises instead is a limit. Not more than you can bear, and always a way through.

That's a very different claim than "everything happens for a reason" or "it'll all work out." It's more specific and more honest — a ceiling on how much you'll be asked to carry, and a door built in even before the pressure arrives.

If you're in something right now that feels bottomless, this verse isn't asking you to feel fine about it. It's making a claim worth testing: that faithfulness here means a boundary was already set on your behalf, and an exit was already planned before you needed one.

If you're carrying something that feels limitless right now, it might be worth finding out whether that claim actually holds up.

A short video on this is coming soon — for now, read on.
