More Than Conquerors

Who You Are in Christ

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
ROMANS 8:37 · ESV

Read what comes right before this verse and the claim gets bolder, not softer — trouble, hardship, danger, the list keeps going. This isn't written by someone pretending life is easy. It's written in the middle of the list, not after it's over.

And the phrase itself is strange if you think about it: not just conquerors, but more than conquerors. Not merely surviving the hard things, not just barely winning — something bigger than a narrow victory. The reason given isn't willpower or grit. It's "through him who loved us." The strength is borrowed, not self-generated.

That's a different kind of claim than most self-help advice makes. It's not "you have everything you need inside you." It's "you're held by someone whose love outlasts whatever's trying to take you down." Whether that's true for you is worth an honest look, not just a passing thought.

If you've been surviving lately more than winning, it's worth exploring whose love this verse says is actually carrying you.

A short video on this is coming soon — for now, read on.
