Bread That Satisfies

Living Bread

Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst."
JOHN 6:35 · ESV

Hunger is a strange word to use for what most people are actually chasing — success, approval, distraction, the next thing that might finally feel like enough. But that restless, never-quite-satisfied pull is exactly what this verse is naming.

Jesus doesn't say "eat this and you'll feel full for a while." He says whoever comes to him won't hunger — a claim about something that actually lasts, not another temporary fix. It's a bold thing to say out loud, especially to people who'd already tried plenty of things that promised the same and failed to deliver.

It's fair to be skeptical of a claim that big. But it's also fair to ask yourself honestly: has anything you've already tried actually made that hunger go away, or just quieted it for a little while?

If you're tired of things that promise satisfaction and never quite deliver, it might be worth finding out who Jesus actually claimed to be.

A short video on this is coming soon — for now, read on.
