Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.
"Because I live, you also will live." Jesus ties His own life directly to yours — not as a metaphor, but as cause and effect. He's not saying life continues in some vague, general sense. He's saying His life specifically guarantees something about what happens to you.
That's a heavy claim to hang your future on. It only holds up if He's telling the truth about who He is. But notice what He's not offering: a philosophy, a set of principles you could apply on your own. He's offering Himself as the reason anything else is possible.
