A New Thing

New Beginnings

Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
ISAIAH 43:19 · ESV

"I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." That's not a line for people whose lives are already tidy. It's a line for people standing in a stretch of dry ground, wondering if anything is ever going to grow there again.

Maybe that's you today — a new year, a fresh page, but the ground underneath still feels like desert. Here's what's worth noticing: God doesn't say He'll wait for the wilderness to become a garden before He shows up. He says the road gets built right through the middle of it. The water shows up exactly where nothing was surviving.

You don't need to have your life figured out to be found by a God like that. You just need to be honest enough to ask Him for the thing you actually need this year — not the polished version, the real one.

If you've ever wondered whether God actually notices people in dry seasons, that question has an honest answer waiting for you.

A short video on this is coming soon — for now, read on.
